KAP has always been at the forefront of technology. We were one of the first printers in the UK to install Closed Loop Colour Control on press in 2000, which used spectrophotometry to aid colour consistency during a press run.

With corporate branding being more important than ever, KAP has adopted ISO12647 standards for proofing and press control. This international standard defines many parameters in the print process, so that predictable colour for proofing and printing becomes closer to a realistic goal.

We can also create our own profiles for unusual materials, so that these can be accurately simulated on our MATCHPRINT proofers.

Our latest Matchprint 800 comes with the latest "Certified Process" technology:-

The new Certified Process for Color Confirmation checks that the proof was generated according to in-house or industry color standards, helping press operators and print buyers communicate and confirm color expectations before going to press. It also confirms that the correct profile was used and that the proofer was correctly calibrated, providing assurance well beyond checking the color bar alone. If all checks are met, a proof-specific certification label with the Certified Process stamp is printed and applied to the proof for visible confirmation of correct color.
